The reality is: As long as the forest is dependent on subsidies, its continuity is all but ensured. If we really want long term conservation of this ecological resource, it is indispensable that the forest earns its financial means by itself. 

The irreversible principle of sustainability speaks against its exploitation, which not only applies to ecology for us, but also to the economy and the social function of the forest: conserve nature, ensure profitability and maintain the forest as a habitat for humans.
